Webpage Headline and Subject Line of Your E-mail - Internet Marketing Tips!

Part 2 of our tips on Email Subject Lines and Webpage Headlines.

Here are some great Email Subject Line Tips:

First - Be personal - use person's name if possible. Most good
autoresponders will allow you to set up your e-mails to
automatically insert the first and even last names in the
Subject Line. There is nothing more powerful to grab a person
than seeing their name.

Next Tip – Remember how important we said it was in our Day 1
message to build your e-mail list to highly target your
audience. Because now we can much more easily predict what the
person on the list is interested in, and write our subject line
accordingly.

Remember the only purpose of the subject line is to get the
person to open and read the e-mail

Next tip is to use a "Magic or Power word" in your headline. In
a future day lesson I will have a list of these “Magic Power
Words” We want something that compels or motivates us to read
further.

Example – “John Here’s a Little Known New Antioxidant Health
Discovery.”

This headline uses the person’s name – plus the magic words –
“New” and “Discovery” plus it raises curiosity about what is
little know. Plus if this person was interested in antioxidants
(remember the targeted list) than it becomes a magic-power word
to this person.

Both of these are effective Subject Lines.

- Tip - What to avoid - unbelievable hype – remember what we
said about credibility above.

Here are some other excellent tips for your subject lines:

Deadlines function as a powerful message, because the fear of
loss is one of the primary motivators in marketing.

A desirable promise in the Subject Line is powerful, because it
creates expectation in the reader to anticipate what they will
receive.

Primary Principal of Marketing - Remember people don't want to
buy your product to have the product - they buy because they
want to have the expected result of your product. Results are
what we really want.

Something else that grabs attention and works are provocative
statements in your subject line. These can almost get the
reader hooked provided your subject line relates to your
targeted message.

An example of a provocative statement is any statement that goes
against the common way of thinking and raises a different
alternative.

Internet Marketing Tips - Webpage Headline and Subject Line of Your E-mail

Your Webpage Headline and Subject Line of Your E-mail is Right
Beyond Targeting Your Audience in Importance.
“ Limp Subject Line = Delete Button”

If you don’t get this right your webpages are exited faster
than changing channels on yodeling contests. And a Limp Subject
Line in your Email means people can’t get to the Delete Button
fast enough.

Face it if your e-mail doesn’t get read you have a zero percent
chance of making any money. That certainly won’t make you do
cartwheels.

Really Webpage E-mail marketing is just an extension of
Marketing ads that go back 100 years.

Let’s review a little bit about the principals of ads, headlines
and marketing.

First what you say must not only be true but it must seem true
and sincere to the other person. This helps to build rapport.

Credibility is the most important descriptive word about the
marketing process. If you are your offer doesn’t seem credible
you can pretty much forget about making a sale. A famous
marketer once said to make your offer more credible reveal a
weakness. People tend to distrust an offer that seems “Too good
to be true.”

Here is an example of this. Avis “We’re number 2 – we try
harder.”

The very first thing you must do to sell any product or service
is to gain a prospect's attention. And you do that with a
Powerful Headline- In regular print advertising 5 times as many
people read the headline as the body copy. So spend the
majority of your time on headlines.

With your e-mails and e-mail marketing your Subject Line is your
attention grabbing potent headline. It has to grab the
attention and curiosity of the reader to get them to read your
e-mail.
