Himalayan Goji Juice and Gratitude at Thanksgiving

What would you do? The following is an example of how much of the rest of the world lives. We live in such an abundant country and yet many people in this country don’t realize how much they truly have. If they would only look at people in other countries around the world. Especially as we near this time of Thanksgiving, we should reflect on all we have to be thankful for. Have an attitude of gratitude.

The following is from a letter from Ray Faltinsky, CEO of Freelife.

Dancing in the Rain

Dear Friends,
They stood nervously at the podium at our Convention in Orlando.
Through their tears they talked of how much they had wanted to build a FreeLife business. Friends deserted them. Family shunned them. There was little encouragement.
They had sold their wedding rings to purchase enough Himalayan Goji Juice to start their business and survive for a few months. “In the end, we only had each other,” she said.

Then, I sat in amazement as they expressed gratitude and appreciation for FreeLife, Himalayan Goji Juice, their Organization, and the fact that they had now joined our worldwide family of Ambassadors.
In the audience of thousands, Filipino flags waved, their friends cheered them on, and the FreeLife Family gave them a standing ovation.

I believe their gratitude and appreciation was a function of their service and their sacrifice. Indeed, it is both service and sacrifice that makes gratitude so meaningful. The willingness to sell a wedding ring to make a dream come true lays the foundation of gratitude for the success that follows.

As we celebrate a national day of Thanksgiving in the United States, I thought you might enjoy this story about choosing to be thankful for what we have.

There once was a woman who woke up one morning, looked in the mirror, and noticed she had only three hairs on her head. “Well,” she said to herself, “I think I’ll braid my hair today.” So she did, and she had a wonderful day.

The next day when she woke up and looked in the mirror, she saw that she had only two hairs on her head. “Hmm,” she said. “I think I’ll part my hair down the middle today.” So she did, and she had a grand day.

The next day she woke up, looked in the mirror, and noticed that she had only one hair on her head. “Well,” she said, “today I’m going to wear my hair in a ponytail.” So she did, and she had a fun, fun day.

The next day she woke up, looked in the mirror, and noticed that there wasn’t a single hair on her head. “Yeah!” she exclaimed. “I don’t have to fix my hair today!”

Happiness is never a numbers game. It isn’t about “how much,” but rather the way you look at how much you have.

Gratitude is always a function of attitude.
Often, great sacrifice brings forth great love and with it wonderful feelings of thanksgiving and appreciation.

Everyone experiences storms in their lives. Thunder rolls, lightning strikes, and skies darken. However, as someone said:
“Life isn’t about waiting for the storm to pass … it’s about learning to dance in the rain.”

With love and appreciation,
Ray

Studies have shown that goji’s powerful polysaccharides can help the body to fight free radicals by normalizing levels of all three of the important antioxidant enzymes – superoxide dismutase (SOD), catalase (CAT), and glutathione peroxidase (GSH-Px).
