The New GoChi Juice Version of Goji Juice -Random Thoughts

Some thoughts on the new GoChi Juice version of goji juice. It's been out now for almost 2 months and here's what I've personally noticed. First of all by about 6 to 1 people favor the new GoChi Juice to our original goji juice. This is certainly not an indictment of the original product as it has been hugely successful. It does however, show just how powerful the attraction is to the new GoChi Juice.

In my 13 years in the nutritional arena this is the first time I've personally seen a product improved by over 30% in potency plus improved in several other areas like being preservative free and for only $1.25 more more bottle. This has a net effect of being a huge cost savings to you the consumer.

Himalayan Goji Berries - 2 Principal Berry Types

Information on the 2 principal types of Himalayan Goji Berries

The first type of Goji berry is called Lycium chinense, which grows mainly in Hebei province in China. The berries are typically small, orange to light red in color, and have many seeds. They are too sour to eat as is, so they added to foods. Lycium chinenseis sometimes referred to as Chinese wolfberry, matrimony vine, or Chinese boxthorn.

The second type and the more important type of true goji berry, the one that is said to have the best effect is known as Lycium barbarum.

This type grows in various regions of Asia such as Tibet and Inner Mongolia, but nowhere is the Lycium barbarum goji berry more revered than in Ningxia, situated along the Yellow River between the Yinchuan plain, the Helan mountains and the Maowusu desert in the western part of China.

The goji berry grows best in a very harsh environment and an alkaline soil and Ningxia has an unusually alkaline soil (pH 8.2 – 8.6) and an extreme harsh temperature range of between 102 F to -16 F. This harsh environment brings out the best in goji berries.

It is these superb best berries that are used in Freelife Himalayan Goji GoChi Juice.
