Goji Dog Presents -Beautiful, Healthy Hair on a Small Budget!

Women’s hair catches a truly raw deal. Every woman wants beautiful, shimmering hair that will turn heads, but in trying to do so they actually damage their hair and take out all of the ingredients that allow your hair to naturally shine at its best. Drying, curling, wet-brushing, and other common styling practices take out all of those essential vitamins and minerals and leave you with dry, unattractive hair. A lot of people are now looking for simple, effective ways to put back all of things that get taken out of their hair, and fortunately, this isn’t hard! There are a lot of great things you can do to improve your hair’s appearance, and here we’ll focus on how to fix your dry, brittle, damaged hair with simple ingredients you’ll probably find around your house.

1. Olive oil. Its in most kitchens, but oddly enough it also deserves a place in most bathrooms as a hair care product. Dry hair is lacking the oils that it needs to keep itself healthy and moisturized, and olive oils are perfectly prepared to put all those wonderful oils right back into your hair. Simply warm up enough olive oil to cover your hair thoroughly, and apply it to your hair. Wrap a plastic bag around it to make it a less messy experience and follow up with a nice warm towel around the bag. Your hair will be soaking up all that needed moisture, and moisturized hair is always more brilliant and beautiful.

2. Mayonnaise is another kitchen item that’s great for hair. Although it may sound odd, mayonnaise is actually quite well known as an effective hair treatment. It just so happens that mayonnaise is loaded with the vitamins, fatty acids, minerals and protein that is extremely beneficial to hair and that gives it a brilliant, lush quality. It’s important that you also make sure to avoid using products like Miracle Whip – you want only 100% real mayonnaise, so make sure you look for it. When applying it to your hair, put it on rather thick. The goal is to soak each and every individual strand of hair. Then just wrap it up in your plastic bag and then follow up with a warm towel, and let your hair soak it up for about 15 minutes!

3. Finally, we come to eggs. Eggs are perfect because hair is, at a basic level, constructed of protein. As a great source of pure proteins, eggs can help you avoid or alleviate any deficiency in protein, which can cause damaging, weakness, and dull, brittle hair. It’s important that you get plenty of protein in your diet to keep your hair (and body) healthy, but a mask of eggs can help replenish and revitalize your hair as well. Look online for great recipes – most of them are very simple to make and use!

As you can see, our three key weapons for the battle of beautiful hair really are actually quite similar to what our hair needs and is made up of naturally. – Proteins, like the collagen that forms each strand, and oils, like our scalp creates! Try and experiment, have fun with it! Taking even one night a week just to pamper your hair can make all the difference in the world in its health, beauty and shine. Having beautiful hair does not have to be hard; it doesn’t even have to be time consuming. – Taking care of your body inside and out is the key to achieving gorgeous hair.

Don't Let Your Child Fall Into the Fat Trap - by Goji Juice Dog

Childhood obesity is a serious topic that needs to be discussed with parents. It is an epidemic that is reaching massive proportions – children are larger than ever before, and even young children are becoming clinically obese. When you really stop and consider this, it becomes increasingly clear how absurd and damaging this is. In their youth children grow faster and have faster metabolisms than at any other point in their lives – at this stage, they are able to burn fat and maintain a healthy weight the easiest. Because of this, it takes an extreme amount of unhealthy food consumed in massive quantities to create a child who is obese, yet this is becoming more and more common as time goes on.

The first step in solving this problem is recognizing who’s to blame. It’s not the children – they are never going to be concerned with their health, and don’t know any better. It is the responsibility of parents to ensure that their child is being raised with healthy eating and exercising habits to reduce their risk of unnecessary illnesses in their lives. By making sure that your child is eating right and leading an active lifestyle you can make an extraordinary impact on their future. Countless serious diseases can be avoided by a healthy lifestyle, and it is never easier to adopt one than when a person is young. Parents must realize that they have to step up and take a constructive, active role in the health of their children.

It shouldn’t come as any surprise when I say that one of the biggest contributors to childhood obesity is diet. The food you put into your child’s body gets used up and absorbed, so if you are making sure they eat healthy and nutritious meals, their body is going to function well. – Of course, if you are feeding your children fattening slop, their body is not going to have the proper vitamins or nutrition that it so desperately needs. Obesity is the very result of improper nutrition taken to the extreme. Good nutrition for children is much more critical than for any adult, as their bodies are developing and growing. – Good food will help them to develop into a normal adult. Of course, if your child isn’t used to eating nutritious food, you must introduce it slowly, but the best way to avoid your child eating junk food is to associate healthy foods with “snacks”. Fruit is perfect for this, and by substituting more fattening foods with it, you are ensuring that they’ll grow up with a healthy sense of what they should be eating.

Children’s bodies burn energy at a very efficient rate. They are growing rapidly, and while this means that is more difficult for them to put on weight than an adult, they still need plenty of regular exercise. A child who is active is much less likely to develop circulatory diseases later on in life, and they will usually have an easier time losing weight and maintaining proper levels of fitness. Fortunately, this is one of the easiest things as a parent you can do. Kids are bursting with usable energy; they simply need a way to use it. If you can become involved and play active games with them or teach them sports, they’ll be off of the sofa in no time. Teach them tennis, ping-pong, hackey sack, basketball, or simply go on bike rides with them. There are many things you and your child can do that will bring you closer together while strengthening their heart and preparing them for a better future.

Remember that, as a parent, you are responsible for your child’s health and well being. The biggest mistake a parent can make is by being a poor role model for them. Because of this, taking a more active stance on physical fitness in your own life is often the most powerful way you can influence your child. It’s also important that you do not ignore your child’s diet and exercise – this is the mistake most commonly made by parents. You may think that whatever you feed them will work, but that is not the case. With just a little effort, you can pick out healthy foods they will love, and change their lives for the better. The bottom line is that your child’s health rests in your hands, and you have the power to help mold them into healthy, active adults and you can reduce their risk of debilitating health-related illnesses.

Goji (Juice) Dog Presents Get Gorgeous Hair In Only Six Steps

This is one of a series of articles to help you improve your life. This one is geared toward the females in the audience and features 6 steps to more beautiful hair.

What woman doesn’t want her hair to look as perfect as in the hair commercials? After all, there are few things more beautiful than shiny, healthy, silky hair. Fortunately, Photoshop isn’t the only way to achieve pretty, silky hair. Let’s talk about six different steps you can take to get your hair looking and feeling healthier and shinier.

1. First, we have to help you avoid actually damaging it. The first thing you need to avoid is using a brush on it while it is still wet. When it’s wet, it isn’t as strong as when it is dry, and a brush is too rough for it to handle, and will only cause damage that will show up later. When detangling your wet hair, stick with a nice, wide-tooth comb – this is much easier on your hair. Also use a good leave-in conditioner, to help make it a little more durable.

2. Blow dryers are every woman’s dream. – They’re perfect for styling, smoothing, and drying anyone’s hair. But the downside is that they are very damaging. While you may never want to give up your hair dryer, make sure never to dry your hair completely. Leave a bit of moisture left in your hair, and also make sure to use the dryer’s “cool” setting as often as possible, as the lack of heat is much less damaging.

3. Everyone knows that a head full of shiny hair is just gorgeous. Unfortunately, the simple build up of hair care products and normal, day-to-day living can dull your hair out and take away that glamour. To combat this, use an apple cider vinegar rinse on your hair about once a week. Simply mix roughly one or two tablespoons of apple cider vinegar with about four cups of water, and then pour it over your hair. This is a great way pull away all that residue that’s been dulling your hair, letting your natural color and shine come out. It gets rid of grime, and is completely natural. It doesn’t smell that great when you put it on your hair in the shower, but after you’ve dried your hair, the smell will be gone and nothing but pure shine will remain.

4. Contrary to what a lot of products say, there is no way to seal or fix split ends. If you notice any split ends on your hair, go in and get them trimmed off. Keeping split ends can result in the split gradually moving up the hair shaft, making your hair look and feel very damaged. Even if you’re growing your hair out, it’s a good idea to go in and get your ends trimmed every so often to keep it looking its best.

5. Moisturizing is a good way to keep your hair healthy and vibrant, and fortunately, it’s a very simple, enjoyable process. Homemade moisturizing masks do a very good job, and they can be made from ingredients that can be found in your very own kitchen. They can be a lot of fun to make and apply, so go do a search some recipes, and select the one that’s perfect for your hair needs.

6. Hair care is not just on the outside. The healthier you are, the healthier your hair tends to be as well, and fortunately there are some great vitamins you can add to your diet that will enhance the quality and health of your hair. Vitamins A and C have antioxidants that are very beneficial to the health of your hair, and vitamin E helps to enhance circulation around your scalp. Vitamin B6 can help to prevent hair loss and to create melanin, which will aid in keeping your hair color richer and more vibrant. Add these to your diet, and you’re sure to have some beautiful hair.

The key to naturally beautiful hair is making sure it is kept strong and healthy. Every hair color, style, length or type will benefit when you treat it properly. Hair care is something that is easy to promote, and can be achieved by making just a few little changes or additions to the way that you style and take care of your hair. All of those simple little steps will quickly add up over time, and with little effort you’ll have shiny, radiant hair, naturally!

A Down Syndrome Boy Who Isn’t Handicapped Plus the Goji Dog

I found the following article by Cole Carson. This article is not intended to be judgmental of anyone. It is only intended to inspire and help people be the best they can be. Let me warn you - this article is probably not politically correct, however, well you be the judge and I hope this helps you to be the best you can be. And in reality I don't want to ever view anyone as being handicapped, everyone is an incredible individual capable of accomplishing great things. I hate to put the label of handicapped on anyone.

---------------------------
Article by Cole Carson
You know, our culture puts a lot of emphasis on negative things and bad people, but I found something the other day that was amazingly positive and that I feel needs to be talked about. I stumbled upon the home-grown web site made by a boy of about twenty years of age who was born with Down Syndrome, as well as several other birth complications. He rides bikes, speed skates, rock-climbs, plays sports, works on cars, and does countless other amazing things that many of us can only imagine. As I looked through his site, I found a wonderful sticker on his car that said “Powered by an extra Chromosome!” This made me smile, as well as drop my jaw in awe.

Here was a person whom everyone in the world would consider handicapped doing things that even I couldn’t do. He was a person with natural determination and resolve like I had seen in few people in my life. This kid literally knew how to do nothing but set goals and achieve them, regardless of how much work was involved. He worked hard every day to make sure no one thought he wasn’t capable or handicapped, proving that he could do anything that any other person could do.

Just a few days later I took a trip to my local Wal-Mart. As I was about to make my way inside, I noticed a car pulling into the closest space reserved for handicapped people. The driver was a woman who looked about thirty-five years old. She had the handicapped sticker, tag, the whole nine yards, and I was amazed as I saw her step out of her car unaided and walk right past me into the store. She seemed to have little problem getting around, and soon began searching through the shopping carts. It soon became obvious to her that what she was looking for was not there, and she confronted the greeter about it. She asked for an electric cart, claiming that her legs grew painful if she had to stand on them for any length of time. The greeter, of course, had a cart brought to her immediately, and she drove on into the store with her purse sitting in the little basket mounted on the front.

This, of course, was unsettling to me. Out there somewhere was a young man that had been born with Down Syndrome, someone who had more obstacles to overcome than most of us have ever even seen, and he was most likely riding a bike or working hard at his job. Almost everything this boy wanted in his life was certainly made more difficult by this birth defect, and yet he thrived, he persevered. And here, at Wal-Mart, was a woman, an apparently normal woman, with a handicapped license tag, a handicapped sticker and parking pace, and an electronic scooter. – She was proclaiming herself handicapped to the world, and all because of some pain in her leg.

There is a serious attitude problem out there today. More and more I notice people wanting to be victims. People who will desperately try to find any reason that things should be made easier on them because they feel like they “deserve” it. I notice more and more handicapped stickers on cars with owners in their thirties or forties. People want everyone else, on one hand, to give things to them and apply a different set of standards because they claim to have a “disability.” They want people to look down on them and pity them, and that makes no sense to me. I don’t ever want anyone to pity me, or feel like I need their handouts.

I know that in my heart of hearts there are very few truly handicapped or disabled people in this world. The only handicap I ever see is a poor mindset and way of looking at things. That young man with Down Syndrome is one the very least handicapped people I have ever even heard of. Not a thing on this earth isn’t there waiting for him, and it’s all because he has a willingness and a determination to earn everything he’s got, and prove to the world that he not only isn’t handicapped, but exceptional. In this boy, there is a very crucial lesson that this world needs to learn. Any person who wants to be handed things, any person who feels that because they are “disabled’ life should be easier for them, they need to grow up, wake up, and get themselves some dignity.

I believe that all of us are capable of amazing things. People do inspiring things every day by simply being themselves and trying to do their very best at everything they do. When a person decides that they are going to overcome the obstacles in their way and that no one is ever going to look at them as less capable, miraculous things happen. That boy with Down Syndrome, for example, has left a lasting impression on me that makes me want to do everything I can to the best of my abilities. When people look at me, I don't want them to see my shortcomings – I want them to see my abilities, my achievements, and the things that I am capable of.

I charge the rest of the world to get off of their butts and be the people that God made them to be. Right now there is a kid with Down Syndrome overcoming the odds and doing things that people have for all his life told him he couldn’t do, so why can’t others? If you really care about yourself, stop asking what other people are going to do to make your life easier, and start finding ways to work around your problems and overcome your obstacles. The world will look at you differently, and you will be surprised at who you’ll inspire.

Weight Loss in Five Easy Steps Plus the Goji Dog

Weight Loss in Five Easy Steps an Article by Cole Carson,

It’s easier than ever to gain weight. Our lives are constantly becoming less physical, as the need for convenience and ease is met with advances in technology. At the same time our diet is suffering from high-fat greasy foods and genetically altered food products. Combine these together, and its’ easy to see why the pant size of Americans are growing by the inch. Fortunately for all of us, there actually are very convenient, plentiful ways to counteract those pesky pounds, and here are five great ways of doing just that.

1. Starting small, a great way to help you keep weight off is to brush your teeth after every meal. Part of the weight-gain problem is that we often eat when we aren’t hungry – we’ll snack out of simple boredom. Brushing your teeth after each meal is great for your smile, but more importantly, that fresh, clean feeling sends signals to your body that the time to eat is over. You won’t be as likely to put those little fat-building snacks in your mouth between meals, and you can be sure to be cavity free!

2. Many people underestimate the importance of water. Water is necessary for your body to function properly, and you need at least a few glasses of water a day to give your body what it needs. Water can also help you lose weight. By replacing all of those soft drinks and coffees throughout the day with water, you can eliminate as many as 245 needless calories or more from your diet. Water also does a good job of flushing from your body toxins and excess waste that it doesn’t need. You’ll also find yourself with more energy for longer periods of time, and you won’t find yourself hit with thirst so often.

3. Breakfast is a very important meal, and as you can guess, is the one most likely to be skipped on by Americans. We generally have busy mornings and opt to pass up on breakfast for a little more sleep or time to ourselves in the morning. This is a very bad thing, because this means our appetites will be greater throughout the rest of the day, and the later in the day you eat, the less time you give your body to burn off the calories. Eating in the evening causes your body to have to store all of that food away as fat, which puts on the pounds. Spend a little extra time in the morning eating a big, healthy breakfast, and you’ll find that you actually can lose weight by eating!

4. It’s no secret that we eat far more food than we need. We are a culture that is obsessed with food, and we pack in more than our bodies can possibly handle. If you want to lose weight, the first thing you have to do is cut down on your portions. As a general rule, when you get a plate of food, discard between a quarter and a third of it before you even sit down. It may be painful to do so, but the bottom line is that you don’t need all of that extra food. Your body won’t be able to burn that many calories.

5. When most people think of exercise, they imagine push ups, trips to the gym, jogging, or other intensive forms of exercise that are difficult to start and take a lot of effort and discipline to stick with for any length of time. Fortunately, all of that is really not necessary for losing weight. Walking is one of the most efficient fat-burning exercises on the planet, and it can be done anywhere you are. Walk around the office, take the stairs, and go out of your way to get the steps in. If you really want to lose weight, start walking every single day for extended periods. Any good long walk is beneficial, but it is generally recommended that you take 30 to 45 minute trips to lose those pounds.

It’s a fact that big things can only be accomplished by starting small, and that the fastest way to get anywhere is by taking a lot of small steps. Remember all of the small things that are contributing to your weight, and go about fixing them. Follow these handy tips and others like them, and you’ll be amazed at how simple losing weight can be.
